Herbal Medicinalist, Nutritionist, Iridologist, Holistic Movement Instructor

I became interested in natural healing for a similar reason to many other naturopaths and herbalists. I had a concept of the human body as a vehicle for profound change, in particular for self-healing. I believe that the ability to self-heal is innate and empowering, and everyone regardless of age, has the right to find their bodys way to ease and wellness. I believe also that our level of health influences our perceptions and experiences in the world.

A lot of my work is about treating states of dis-ease  in the human body. I work with herbs primarily, as they have been used for thousands of years to effectively improve health and well being. In the days of the red tent, to call on an ancient symbol here, herbs were a form of support and strengthening for women passing through the landmarks of womanhood. In menopause and old age, tonifying herbs such as nettle and withania were used as a  powerful ancient multivitamin! Herbs are still popular today, and knowledge of their therapeutic uses is more extensive. I see a bright future for natural medicine.

My approach to healing with natural medicines is to nurture and tonify the body and where necessary, to help others to more consciously care for their health. Working as a practitioner in holistic health care has brought me a deeper level of understanding about the human body and how best we can heal from dis-ease. Keeping things as pure and natural as possible is key.
